The IEEE is a world wide technical professional society, which strives at advancing the theory and application of Electrical, Electronics and Computer Engineering. Founded in 1884 by a handful of eletrical innovators worldwide. It is the world's largest technical society connecting more than 3,40,000 members, across 150 countries. The society is divided in sections, chapters and branches, which help in efficient administration of the organization.

The IEEE marches ahead to achieve its prime objective which is to :
