A canvas, under which bright young minds, with diverse interests, yet a common dream to take on the world with their technical skills, is how we would define the college IEEE Student Branch. This team of forty odd individuals has through their actions all through the year exemplified the spirit of teamwork, especially with the clincher – UNNAYAN ’99.

Taking inspiration from our seniors, who had to their credit a successful UNNAYAN ’97, we at IEEE began laying the foundation for a national level technofest on an even larger scale. Plunging down the depths of technology we had workshops on Microprocessors and OP-AMPS and also a seminar on Internet and Related Technologies to brief the students about this wide ocean of information superhighway.

There were also comprehensive lectures on Parallel Processing and OSI Reference Model for those with special interest in these fields. A Paper Presentation Contest saw overwhelming response from the students that brought to the forefront areas in which the students were working.

Keeping the prime objective of application of technology for the benefit of humanity in mind, various other classes were conducted. These included a Mock GRE Examination – GRE Online, which helped the students who wanted to pursue higher studies in the USA.

For those who had just entered this institute as freshers ‘Engineering Drawing’ classes were conducted. Finally to top it all UNNAYAN ’99 which brought to the portal of our institute great minds dedicated to their mission in various fields of science as had never been seen before. All this essentially taught us the strength and effectiveness of good teamwork.

So, we here at IEEE Student Branch are group of people dedicated to the mission of bringing quality science reach out to the people.
